Maranatha Mustangs powerlifter Troy Pozinski continues to make his mark in competitive powerlifting, showing steady growth, strength, and consistency across multiple USAPL meets over the past year. Training at Crunch Fitness under the guidance of his coach, Jeff, Troy has competed in four sanctioned USAPL competitions, consistently improving his totals while placing among the top lifters in his divisions.
Troy’s competitive journey began at the 2025 USAPL State Meet in Champlin, where he gained valuable experience on the platform. In his first meet, he posted lifts of 385 pounds in the squat, 281 pounds in the bench press, and 518 pounds in the deadlift. Competing in the Open division, Troy finished 3rd overall, setting a strong foundation for what would become an impressive season.
Momentum continued to build at the Iron Novice USAPL Meet in Princeton. Troy matched his squat at 385 pounds, benched 275 pounds, and increased his deadlift to 530 pounds. The performance earned him 1st place in the 90 kg weight class and 8th overall, marking his first meet victory and a clear step forward in overall strength.
One of Troy’s standout performances came at the USAPL High School Championships in Roseville. Competing against top high school lifters, he delivered across all three lifts with a 408-pound squat, 287-pound bench press, and a 556-pound deadlift. Troy claimed 1st place in his weight class and 2nd overall by total, showcasing significant progress and confirming his status as one of the top high school lifters in the state.
Troy capped off his run at the Frozen Tundra USAPL Meet in Maplewood, where he demonstrated both strength and technical precision. He recorded a 413-pound squat, 287-pound bench press, and 540-pound deadlift, going a perfect 27-for-27 on white lights. His performance earned him 2nd place in the Teen division and 3rd place in the 90 kg Open division, highlighting his consistency and composure under pressure.
With four meets, rising totals, and podium finishes across multiple divisions, Troy Pozinski’s powerlifting journey reflects dedication, disciplined training, and competitive excellence. As he continues to develop, the Maranatha Mustangs can expect even bigger lifts and bigger results in 2026 from one of their strongest student-athletes. 💪
