Big congratulations to Junior Captain Olivia Lanari for being named the 2025 Skyline Conference Player of the Year!
This incredible honor comes after Olivia was nominated by coaches throughout the conference, thanks to her outstanding performance on the court. She was instrumental in leading the Mustangs to victory in the Skyline Conference Championships this year while dominating in Rebounds, Assists, Steals, and Blocks. What an amazing achievement! Congratulations to our 2025 Athena Award winner, Ashley Yost!
MCA senior Ashley is a two-sport athlete, playing both volleyball and softball. She has served as a captain five times, received eight letter awards, and has been named Team MVP. Ashley has also earned first-team All-Conference honors six times, All-Section recognition, and is a three-time recipient of the Mustang Award. Additionally, she has achieved Academic All-State honors four times and has helped lead the Mustangs to become Skyline Conference Champions in softball three times.
In academics, Ashley is the 2025 Valedictorian of her class, a finalist for the Capstone speech, and a four-time Principals Club member. She is also a leader in the Letters of Love program at MCA.
Recently, Ashley announced her commitment to Northern State University, where she plans to study Business and Finance while continuing her volleyball career. Congratulations, Ashley, on all your impressive accomplishments during your time at MCA!

Congratulations to Brandon Kot, Mason Krings, and Brady Landstad on the Osseo Swim & Dive Team on the 11th place finish. This is the highest finish for the Team in over 20 years!
The boys were all a part of the Osseo Relays in the 200 Medley, 200 Free, and the 400 Free.
They placed:
8th in the 200 Medley Relay
11th in the 200 Free Relay
13th in the 400 Free Relay
Brandon and Mason each competed in individual events at State. With both making it to finals on Day 2 they both competed well.
Brandon Competed in the 100 Backstroke placing in 26th place.
Mason Competed in the 100 Breaststroke making a podium finish in 7th place!

The Boys Basketball season came to a close tonight in a competitive and emotional Second Round of the Section 5AA tournament against Rockford.
In this hard-fought matchup, the #10 ranked Mustangs faced off against the #9 Rockford team. From the very first tip-off to the final buzzer, both teams demonstrated incredible effort, trading baskets throughout the game.
Our talented senior, #3 Jojo Bartolomeos, led the team with 20 points, supported by four other Mustangs who also reached double digits. In the second half, the tension built as the score remained within just 5 points for both teams. With a mere 15 seconds left in the game, the Rockets managed to pull ahead, sealing the final score at 77-82.
We want to extend heartfelt congratulations to all the players and coaches for their dedication and hard work this season. To our seniors, your leadership and commitment have been invaluable to the program, and we cannot express enough gratitude for everything you have contributed. You will be missed, but your legacy will remain in the hearts of everyone associated with our team. Thank you for an unforgettable season.

The #10 Boys Basketball team had an exciting matchup against #15 Brooklyn Center in the first round of the playoffs! The Mustangs were on fire tonight, showcasing some fantastic offense and sprinting into halftime with a nice lead.
In the second half, Brooklyn Center really put up a fight, closing the gap to within 12 points with just a few minutes to go. But the Mustangs kept their cool and held on, securing their spot in the second round with a final of 93-79. They’ll be back in action at Rockford on Thursday at 7 PM.

Heather Sheehy started the game off strong, nailing three-pointers like a pro in the first half. Meanwhile, Olivia Lanari and Zaniah Hunter were fantastic with their assists and steals, keeping the game close as we headed into halftime. Providence turned up the heat in the second half, and the game finished with a score of 67-94.
A huge shoutout to all the players and coaches for a fantastic season! Winning the Skyline Conference title and finishing with a record of 22-4 is an incredible achievement. Way to go, team! 🏀🎉
