Maranatha Christian Academy was proudly represented this past weekend at the MSHSL State Swim & Dive Meet as senior Mason Krings competed on behalf of the Osseo Swim Team, capping off an exceptional season with an impressive performance on the state’s biggest stage.
Mason delivered two outstanding swims at the state meet, highlighted by a personal-best performance in the 100 butterfly. He placed 6th overall, touching the wall in a blazing 49.64, his fastest time ever in the event. He followed that up with another podium-worthy effort in the 100 breaststroke, finishing 5th with a time of 56.62. Competing against the top swimmers in Minnesota, Mason proved once again that he belongs among the elite.
Throughout his career with the Osseo Swim Team, Mason has left a lasting legacy. He etched his name in the record books with six school records:
200 Individual Medley
100 Butterfly
100 Breaststroke
200 Medley Relay
200 Freestyle Relay
400 Freestyle Relay
In addition to his school records, Mason holds multiple pool records across the conference and has set numerous meet records, a testament to his consistency, dedication, and competitive drive.
Mason’s success in the pool is matched by his commitment in the classroom. He will continue his academic and athletic career at Gustavus Adolphus College, where he plans to study computer science while competing on the Gusties Swim & Dive team.
Maranatha Christian Academy celebrates Mason’s remarkable accomplishments and his excellence in representing his school, his team, and his faith. His impact on the Osseo Swim Team and the broader Mustang community will be felt for years to come.
