Maranatha Christian Academy

Coach Axelberg is entering her third year as Head Coach of Mustang Softball. She led the Mustangs to their third straight Skyline Conference Championship during the 2024 season. 

In 2023, the program grew to three teams, introducing a JV and middle school team. The varsity team ended the season with a record of 17-4. The Mustangs ended the season first in the Skyline Conference with the first ever Back-to-Back Conference Championships. Coach Axelberg has a strong knowledge of the game where strategy and on field placement will help with team success.

As a coach Axelberg has coached softball at all levels starting from 8u all the way to 18u in off-season softball. She has helped lead teams to 8 state tournaments, placing in the top 3 every year in attendance. She also led teams to 8 National Tournament appearances with a top 4 finish in their respected bracket. Prior to Maranatha, Axelberg attended Bethel University where she was a 5-year starter and led the team to a Conference Championship, Playoff Championships, and first ever NCAA Tournament berth where they placed in the Top 16 in her final year with the program.
