Maranatha Christian Academy

Adi Bilani has coached for over 12 years at a variety of levels from U6 to adults. He is back for his third season as head coach for the Mustangs.

Bilani led the Mustangs to their best finish in school history during his first season at the helm. Maranatha defeated Cristo Rey in the 2022 Section 5A Championship to advance to the MSHSL State Tournament. The Mustangs upset #1 seed Southwest Christian in the first round. They lost to eventual champs, St. Paul Academy, in the second round, but bounced back to finish 3rd in the 2022 Class A State Tournament with tie against Legacy Christian Academy.

After a close loss to Cristo Rey in the 2023 Section 5A Final, Bilani is excited to get his squad back on the field for the 2024 season and make another run at state. 

Bilani is the current owner of Vlora FC and has also coached for Eagan Wave, Edina Soccer Club, Fusion SC, St. Paul Blackhawks, Minneapolis Southwest High School, and St. Paul Highland Pak High School. 

His playing experience expands over 27 years from the age of 5 where he played for Flamurtari in his home town to the Albania U15 National Team, Minneapolis Southwest High School, and semi-pro in the NPSL with MN Kings and the UPSL with Vlora FC.
