Description: The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship,
Leadership, Service, and Character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since 1921.
Requirements: Students in grades 10-12 wanting to participate in NHS must have a 3.5+ GPA, complete an application, and demonstrate excellence in Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Students in the society must participate in two NHS community service activities with a minimum of four hours of service time.
Schedule: candidates will be informed of their status in October and inducted on the second Monday in November. The society will meet every month to conduct meetings and schedule service projects.
Fees: $35.00. (Members will also have the option to purchase an NHS shirt designed by chapter leadership)
