The Maranatha Christian Academy Girls Varsity Soccer team continued their impressive early-season form with a dominant 3-0 win over Rockford, boosting their record to 3-1.
The Mustangs’ scoring was well-distributed across the lineup, with goals from freshman Elena Voronyak, sophomore Stella Randolph, and senior Tori Vanessen. Assists came from a strong supporting cast, including seniors Anna Sathre and Olivia Lanari, as well as freshman Avery Jones. The offensive chemistry was matched by a stellar defensive performance, led by junior goalkeeper Kate Wahl, who notched her second shutout of the season.
On the JV side, the Mustangs delivered a commanding performance of their own, routing Rockford 11-0 to even their record at 2-2.
Maranatha will look to continue their momentum in their next matchup against St. Croix Prep on Thursday, September 4, at 7:00 p.m. Come out and cheer on your Mustangs!
